Fish cake side dish was good, not too sweet like most places. The kimchi and radish was overwhelmingly strong. A bit much for me. The soy galbijim was pretty good! Most of the meat fell off the bone and was pretty flavorful. Just don't leave the meat in the sauce for too long or it'll get a bit salty.

If you're looking for an authentic Korean meal that feels homemade, this cozy little spot is a hidden gem. The food is not greasy, which I LOVEE, and everything is well-seasoned without being overpowering. (Its like coming home and your family already prepared meal for you) I tried the beef rib with potato noodles, and it was absolutely comforting--the broth was rich yet clean, and the noodles still had chewiness. Spicy octopus hot pot was another highlight!!! Sizzling, hot and fresh octopus served with white rice, ( I like the crispy bits of rice at the bottom) They also offer purple rice as an option, which is a nice touch. Their side dishes were fresh and well-balanced, ( seaweed, radish, fish cakes, kimchi). On top of that, the place is small yet quite clean, making it a great spot for a quick yet satisfying meal without the hassle of a big crowd. If you're in the mood for delicious, no-fuss Korean comfort food, this is definitely a place worth checking out!

It's been so long since my last review so I wanted to do an update. Seoul Haus is known for their authentic Korean comfort food. I came here for lunch on the weekend and it wasn't very busy. It was perfect for that rainy day though because I got their popular oxtail Sul Lung Tang which came with your preferred noodles. I got the glass noodles which was perfect. It was delicious. I also got to try their Octopus Hot Pot which was rice in a stone hot pot with some very well seasoned and cooked baby octopus. It's a must get if you love octopus. We enjoyed all our food. The banchan that came out was also all good and delicious. Besides what we got they also have other types of stone pot dishes and other soups. Pricing is about $20 a dish. They do have combo lunches as well. The staff was very nice and helpful. The food came fairly quickly. The inside of this place is smaller and casual. It's great for smaller groups.

Probably the best home cooked meals around here in Irvine where there are literally hundreds of different ethnic foods available from the street foods of Thailand, posh full service Korean BBQ at the table cooking and serving restaurant, deeply Persian cuisine, Taiwan noodles and slew of others all competing for less and less numbers of big spenders and increasingly difficult financial difficulties due to high inflation, this particular Mom & Pop hole in the wall restaurant offers the most authentic, real Korean cuisine at the least price point possible. I updated this restaurant every year since I joined Yelp, and I remain very much true to this place. I have seen some Ajuma (serving lady) come and go, few dishwashers and kitchen staffs come and go, but the truly amazing home cooking tastes remarkably remain the same! For all the years I have been a food critic, this place offers the best Dol Sot Bibimbop (Hot Stone Mixed Vegetables Rice), Sulung Tang (Ox Bone Soup), Dogani Tang (Ox Tendons in Sulung Ox Bone Soup), and my all time favorite: Su Yuk (Big Tendon Dish). My Special Mukbang Friends: Go forth, do not hesitate, enjoy the most authentic Korean foods in OC now.

This place was super busy when we went so it was a little overwhelming. I said table for 4 and we waited for about 30 mins. Our friend asked again and we got seated right away! The food was good. Definitely family friendly. A little unorganized and food was ok but I can't necessarily justify the price point.

If you're looking for a home-y and comforting restaurant then this is the place! It's tucked in a lowkey plaza that doesn't have too much parking. The ladies that work there are so nice and check in to see if everything is ok. I also love when Korean restaurants have barley tea. We came in around 1:30pm on a Friday and were seated immediately. It was a hot day so me and my friend were craving cold noodles. We got: bibim naengmyeon (spicy cold noodles)- not too spicy for those who are worried. The flavor of the noodles was well balanced and d the noodles were the perfect chewiness. I liked mine more chewy and less cut while my friend decided to cut hers up more to make it easier to eat mul naengmyeon (cold noodles with broth)- basically the same components as the other cold noodles but in a refreshing icy broth. I also lov adding the spicy mustard and some vinegar that they give you on the side. spicy pork belly- this came on a sizzling plate and the onions that grilled on that plate were so sweet and charred to perfection! The pork was also very well marinated! They have lunch/ dinner combos with meats and cold noodles or some of their soups! They are such a good deal and I'd reccomend getting a combo to share with a friend.

It's a quick sit down Korean spot that hits the craving. I ordered the Sul Lung Tang and Bulgoki Combo Dinner. The ox tail soup was light and the meat was tender. The bulgoki was so tender and flavorful-melted in mouth! The servers were nice with regular checkups to fill our sides. But they ran out of the potstickers for the night (it was about 2-3 hours before closing) :( overall a solid spot.
